A team at Zhejian University made a polar bear-inspired cloth in 2018. A polar bear's coarse fur is so good at insulation, their heat signature is almost invisible; the fur absorbs all infrared radiation. In infrared, top right is the mimicked fabric, nearing invisibility; below is polyester.
