George Washington is only one of two Presidents to physically go to war while in office. In 1794, 6,000 men angry at taxes gathered at a field near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The aging 62 year old President mounted his horse and personally led 13,000 men into Pennsylvania. More in comment section:
