This is the smallest chameleon, known as Brookesia micra discovered in 2012 in Nosy Hara, Madagascar. It is so tiny it can perch on the matchstick head. An adult (both M/F) will grow to only about 1 inch (30mm) from nose to tail. The species is considered extremely threatened due to loss of habitat.
